Sales limits
We want to spread the dahlia love far and wide, so please stick to a maximum of two tubers per variety.Shopping cart woes
Adding items to your cart doesn’t reserve them (we know, it’s heart-breaking!) Your order is only confirmed once checkout is complete and you’ve received a confirmation email. If you miss out, feel free to email us after the sale and we’ll let you know if any extras pop up in spring.Order changes
Once an order is placed, we’re unable to make changes due to limited stock.Stock issues
If a variety doesn’t overwinter well and we can’t supply it, we’ll be in touch with a replacement or refund option. We keep lots of buffer stock to avoid this.
Shipping
We ship nationwide across NZ
Please choose the correct shipping option at checkout—if not, we’ll need to invoice you for the difference.
We offer combined shipping! If you place multiple orders, select “Combined Shipping” on your second order so you only pay postage once. (If your order is too large for one box we will invoice you for any extra shipping costs.)
All tubers are carefully packed for shipping – but none of that fancy packaging over here, sorry. We love a bit of brown paper and recycled boxes!

Dahlia health
We have worked hard to eliminate tubers in our field that seem suspicious or sub-par in the health stakes. I know first hand the frustration and disappointment of havig to bin sick plants. We are confident that our tubers are in good health.
There are many factors that can shape a plant’s life. Dahlias can perform differently in different climates and may need some time to acclimate (I experience this in Taupō with every tuber I bring in from Auckland or Hawkes Bay, for example). And some issues that look like viruses can actually be mineral deficiencies.
My recommendation is to follow the advice of the inestimable Georgie (from Common Farm Flowers in the UK) and to propagate from your tuber shoots without planting out any tuber material. This is a great way to give the plants the best shot in your garden and I find these plants are healthier and acclimate immediately compared to any tubers I may plant.
We cannot take any responsibility for how you store, plant, care, harvest or propagate from your plant after you have received it. Any issues must therefore be reported within 48 hours of receipt. If you have concerns once your tuber/cuttings start growing please do get in touch and we can work it through together.
